Aerial Cinematographer | Drone Specialist
William King
Drone Pilot & Aerial Cinematographer
William King is a San Francisco Bay area-based aerial cinematographer and drone operator with a career built at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and cinematic storytelling. His work spans continents, blockbuster productions, and some of the most technically demanding aerial environments in the world.
He has honed his craft at Freefly Systems, where he worked hands-on with heavy lift platforms (Alta X) — developing a deep technical fluency in professional drone operations that few pilots possess. That foundation gave him the ability to execute complex aerial work with precision on productions where the margin for error is zero. On the global stage, he has flown extensively across Dubai & Abu Dhabi capturing everything from the grandeur of the Burj Khalifa to large-scale international sporting events including FIFA. His work in the region reflects the kind of adaptability and operational confidence required when the stakes — and the skyline — are at their highest.
Aerial cinematography credits include Aquaman 2 and the Lilo & Stitch Live Action adaptation, shot on location in Oahu, Hawaii. Both productions demanded not only technical skill but an ability to seamlessly integrate aerial footage into a director's visual language — delivering shots that feel like cinema, not coverage.
Whether operating a heavy lift rig over an international landmark or chasing golden hour over the Pacific, William brings the same commitment: every frame should earn its place on screen.
